Bluebonnets!

Well y'all, it are April in Texas which means it are bluebonnet time.  Dis week, da mommas and me and Finley went down to Kerrville to see my momma's grandparents.  We had a pretty good time, dere backyard are real big so I can run round and bark a lot.  And PawPaw, he are a soft touch and hands out bacon and sossidge like nobody's bizness!  Not like my greedy momma.  Anyways, we had a nice time visitin wif dem den we went out bluebonnet hunting.

And we found em big time at da Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area in Spicewood on Lake Travis (it are in between Austin and Marble Falls for those of ya who know anything bout where stuff are in Texas).  Dere are bout a million and one pictures and dis are nowhere near half of em.  So I hopes ya like flowers, and if ya don't, well ya probably should mosey on along.

Da bluebonnet are da state flower of Texas.

Fields of bluebonnets are so blue dat it looks like water.

See dem interestin white and blue flowers?  Momma thinks dey may be a cross between your regular blue bluebonnet and an albino bluebonnet.  Bluebonnets can come in light blue, white, and light pink naturally besides da classic bluebonnet blue.  And da Aggies has made maroon Aggiebonnets, don't ask me why.

Finley are lookin real cute in her new bluebonnet dress.

Finley's momma and Finley - if ya's a Texan, ya needs to take a bluebonnet picture at least once a spring.

I just luved bein in da fields of bluebonnets, momma said I wuz acting like da Bluebonnet Queen.  Well, aren't I??  It are gonna be tuff workin pickin out a new profile picture.

Sometimes modelin are exhausteratin work.

I's peekin through da flowers.

Yeah, I owns dis whole field.

A bluebonnet selfie wif my momma.

Momma are not tryin to do a Clint Eastwood impresshun, dis are just what happens when she don't wear sunglasses.  BOL!

Me and Finley is checkin out da smells.  Bluebonnets smell really good and a huge field of em smells wonderful.

See, we's got matchin dresses.

Dis are my momma in da bluebonnets.

And Finley's momma.

Anofur selfie wif momma.

See da white flowers?  Dose are da albino bluebonnets I wuz talkin bout earlier.  Years ago, way back before I wuz alive, my peeps went bluebonnet huntin wif da grandparents.  And some idiot woman they wuz near saw a white bluebonnet and called it a "wild onion."  PawPaw said she wuz a "wild idiot" and dat always make momma laff when she sees a white bluebonnet.

Da red flowers are Indian paintbrush.

Hope y'all liked seein all da bluebonnets.  Dere are no place like Texas in da springtime.
