Happy yappy Christmas!

 

Last night me and Brinley got on our elf jammies and waited for Santa to come.

Da mommas wuz watching It's a Wonderful Life. 

It woulda been more wonderful wif westies.

Not a creature wuz stirring . . . mainly becuz Brinley had barked herself into exhaushtuns watching A Christmas Story.

 

Then it wuz Christmas morning!

We couldn't wait to see what Santa bought!

This is Finley's 15th Christmas!

We changed into our Christmas dresses.

Double da cuteness!

Momma made me take some photos wif her. 

I luvs a Christmas hug.

And Christmas kisses! I don't even need mistletoe!

Look at that tree - it looks like Santa came!

The humans got their stockings filled.

And lotsa presents!

But enuf about them - Santa brought us presents first!

Finley got hers first.

Three new squeaky toys, a bandana, and a soft fleecy blanket.

Brinley did pretty good too.

She got a blanket and a new dress.

And what's this?

A penguin stuffy!

A Snoopy stuffy!

And one more . . . 

A gnome stuffy! Brinley scored!

I couldn't wait to get my presents.

I got a new dress and a blanket.

TOYS!

TOYS!

TOYS!

Ok, I had to take a lil break from opening all those toys. 

It wuz a pawsome Christmas! Made even better by a nice long walk in da afternoon and a few bites of ham. Merry Christmas and Yappy Howlidays y'all!

Basselope Huntin'

Well, on Wednesday, we ALL got groomed.

Luckily, we all survived. But just barely.

Since we had to endure dat torture, I told Brinley we needed to have some fun! Besides bike ridin (ME), barkin TV (her), walks and playing in da backyard. 

We needed an advenshure! So I suggested we go on a hunt for da elusive basselope. Ya know, dat famous ferocious beast?? 

Brinley wuz game to go! I told her I'd heard dat in ancient times (like 2005), basselopes roamed the backyard. Momma has talked about em.

Finley said those were basset hounds, not basselopes. And that I wuz not gonna find any out there, all I'd find wuz lizards.  

But we didn't let her discourage us, we went bravely exploring through the flowers, looking for a basselope. Suddenly, we heard a rustling in the bushes. 

OMD, I spotted a basselope!

Hmm, not so ferocious as I had imagined. Ackshually, kinda cute.

So I sniffed her up.

She says her name are Rosebud and she wants to be my pal.

Brinley gave her the side eye - just don't think ya can control the TV changer Rosebud. 

Then we heard more rustling - OMD, Rosebud has a sister. Who are also named Rosebud. OMD, this are gonna be even more confusing than telling me and Brinley apart!

P.S. Da momma highly recommends the book The Last Basselope - speshully if ya has kids or grandkids. Ya know Opus the penguin?? Yeah, it are by that guy. She and grandma are big fans of his and both got these Rosebud stuffies for themselves. So it looks like I'll be sharing my bed wif a basselope!

Frisco Toys from Chewy!

Hi pals! We has some eggciting news - Chewy, da online pet store and all around pawsome place for ya to spend your momma and daddy's plastic, has some BRAND NEW Frisco dog toys!

I know Brinley, dis are pawsome news! 

And even more pawsome, as a #ChewyInfluencer, we wuz furst to get to try these fun toys!

We got da Corduroy Plush Squeaking Pig, da Bungee Blush Squeaking Bunny, and da Bungee Plush Squeaking Beaver! 

Yeah, da stuffies are WAY cute. And even better, dey is WAY fun! 

Just look at dat grin on Finley's face, she may be getting close to 13, but she still LUVS toys and these squeaky plush toys are perfect for her!

I wuz just playin wif my piggy wif my momma earlier today.

Dey's fun for tug, fetch, and for snuggling. Da piggy can even double as a pillow once ya is done playing!
