More Liebster Questions!

So my cutie patootie schnauzer pal Fizzy nominated me for a Liebster Award.  Since I's already asked some questions and tagged pals recently, I are just gonna answer Fizzy's questions, ok?

1.  How did you get to be at your forever home?  My momma wanted a westie pup real bad.  Accidentally, she did not get her driver's permit in time for her to get her license (Texas makes you have da permit for 6 months before you get da license and Finley's momma and my momma was confuserated bout it.)  She didn't get her permit until da ends of June, which meant she couldn't get her license until da ends of December.  And her birfday are at da end of November.  Since she didn't have a license, she didn't want a car for her sixteenth birfday and wanted a puppy instead (she got da car for Chrissymas).  She'd liked westies for a while and Finley's momma found me in ad in da newspaper.  She drover up to Gainsville and met da breeder who had pupses.  She were a Cherokee lady from Oklahoma.  Momma wanted a girl puppy, so Finley's momma looked at da girls.  I already had my ears up and were da friendliest, so she picked me and drove me home to Plano.  My momma got outta school early dat day (she were "sick" - sick of high school) to meet me.  She were so happy!  She says I's da best present she ever got.

2.  Who named you and why did they pick that name?  My momma named me.  She wanted a name dat started with a W so it went wif westie.  She were planning on namin me Whitney until she saw da name Whitley in a baby book.  It means "white meadow."  My momma's name are Kimberley, which means "from da royal fortress meadow," so my momma liked how Whitley sounded like her name and also had da white meadow meaning.  My middle name are Michelle, after da Beatles song.

3.  Do you like cheese?  I luvs cheese - cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, monterrey jacks, you names it and I luvs it!

4.  What's your favorite human food?  MEATZ.  I luvs em all.  Chicken, steak, bacon, ya names it!  

5.  How do let your pawrents know you have to go out and potty?  I barks at em.  Da problem are, I barks at em for all kindsa other reasons, so mostly my momma just tries to take me out at regular times.  I also goes over by da front door and bark - dat let's em know I need to go out.

6.  Do you sleep in your people's beds?  I sleep in da lower right corner of my momma's bed.  She tries real hard to get me to sleep up next to her and snuggle, but dat corner are my spot and it are nearest da door so I can do a good job guardin her from zombiez.

7.  Are you a snuggly pal, or would you rather get pets from far away?  I know I just said I don't like da night snuggles, but other than that I like snugglin.  I like sitting in laps and gettin pets.  I also like sitting right next to my momma in a chair - I just wedge myself right in, I guess I's lucky her booty are not too big for dat.

8.  Do you like to give kisses?  Yeah, I luvs kisses.  I specially like kissing Ally, momma's sister.  I'll just lick her up like crazy.  I like to give momma and Finley's momma and daddy kissies too.

9.  What's the one thing you did that scared the poop out of your people?  Well, besides me and Finley's fights, when I were a tiny puppy I jumped in da pool repeatedly.  Da first time, momma thought maybe Hank accidentally knocked me in da pool because he had a big ol waggin basset tail.  But den momma saw me take a runnin leap and land in da pool.  And dis were in November and it were COLD and I were teeny!!  So dat were pretty scary for da peoples and I only got to go out in a backyard on leash for da rest of dat winter.  Oh, and da time dat scary woman tried to steal me at UCLA, but I didn't really do dat one, it just happened to me.

10.  Who do you bark the most at?  Who don't I bark at?  BOL BOL!  Uh, probably Finley cuz I lives wif her and bark her when she are scratchin or has a toy in her mouth or are sittin on a person's lap - basically all da time.

Now here are your daily dose of cuteness - I are wearin my new Grumpy sweater.

See how Grumpy has new wrinkles?  Dat are my wrinkly back - I has lotsa wrinkles.  My newest nickname are Ruffles - cuz Ruffles has ridges, get's it?  Yeah yeah, my momma are SO funny.

And now for the Mardi Paws foodapalooza - gumbo, shrimp étouffée, seafoods dirty rice, jambalayas, crawfish enchiladas, and boudin. Yummmmm!!!  Now, we gots to finds a way to keep Travis away from all da seafood - he are a real lil stinker bout dat stuff.

More Liebster Questions

So, I's got nominated for da Liebster Award dis time by my pals Rudy and Izzy.  If ya don'ts know dem, dey are a couple cutie pie Schnauzers from Canookistan or somewhere like dat where it are really freezy cold.  Even colder dan dat Bawston place where I lived for a whiles.  Anyways, since I already tagged some of my palses for dis here MAJOR AWARD, I's just gonna answer Rudy and Izzy's questions.

1.  Who feeds you in your house and what times do you get fed?

Usually it are my momma who feeds me and Finley, but occasionally it are Finley's momma.  Most da time it are my momma.  We get fed once in da morning and once at night.

2.  What do you eat for meals?

We eats our kibble (it are Merrick beef or bison usually) and ground beefs on top!  Sometimes dere are other stuff on top, like turkey or chicken or somefin, but most da time it are ground beefs.

3.  Do you get special treats for your birthday, and if so, what are they?

Yeah!  I usually gets a birthday breakfast of eggie weggie.  And extra treats thoughout da day and sometimes somefin special at night.   I's tryin to convince momma to make me a pupcake dis year.

4.  Do you share your house with other pets, and where do they fall in the pet hierarchy?

I lives with my BFF Finley, and da kitties Jezebel, Travis, and Maurice.  I are da Head of Security and do da mostest barkin, but I are not sure bout no hierarchy.  I luvs da kitties and sometimes dey is definitely in charge of me.  Finley likes to think she are Top Dawg, but I don't agree.  Maybe we's all equal, or maybe somes of us animals are just a lil more equal dan others.  BOL BOL!  Bonus points if ya knows what I's barkin bout!

5.  Where is the best place in your world to play?

Da pool are da bestest place to play, but it are not warm enuf to dat right now.

6.  Do you go on walks?  For how long and how often?

I usually go on bout an hour long walk each day as long as da weather are good.

7.  How often do you get groomed?

I don't go to no groomer, but my momma pins me down and tortures me by pulling out my pretty hairs bout once a week.  I get brushed pretty much every day, sometimes every other day.

8.  How often do you have to have a BATH?

Well, it are not "having to have" as I actually luv da baths - I jump in da tub all by myself, sometimes even when I are not sposed to!  BOL BOL!  But I gets a bath bout once a week.

9.  Do you like to watch tv?

Da only thing I likes to watch on TV are da movie Oklahoma.  I's an Oklahoma native in dis house full of Texans and I just luvs my Oklahoma movie.  I gets all excited even hearin da music - at da end of da Oscars last night dey played a tiny bit and I lifted my head right up to look.  I always fall sleep during da dream part though - it are borin.  But I wake up in time for Da Farmer and Da Cowman Should Be Friends.  I know it sounds like I are makin dis up, but it are one hundred percent true - I luvs my Oklahoma movie and nuffin else.  Momma even has a DVD of it for me (mostly for me, she likes it too, but she do not luv it like I do.)

10.  What is da best smell in the world to you?

I fink dat would be da smell of Plano, which are where I live.  Sees, I's lived lotsa places - Lost Angulus, Bawston, Austin, but Plano are home.  It are where my swimmin pool are and when I goes on a road trip, I gets real excited bout smellin it.  When I lived in Lost Angulus and would come back home I couldn't smell it from very far away since da wind blows west to east.  But when I lived in Bawston, I could start smellin it from bout 2 hours away and I start whimperin and huffin da air to get dat sweet Plano smell into my nostrils.  Momma made some jokes bout what Plano smells like - money, Bibles, swimmin pools, heroine, Republicans, curry (yeah, momma are a real jokester, BOL BOL!)  It are not really any of dose particular smells (well, maybe da swimmin pools), but it are somefin special bout my hometown dat I just luv.  Momma says I are bout da onliest one who loves it, BOL BOL!

Anyways, pupses, it are FREEZING here.  Which means no walks today.  But I did get to wear my new Tinkerbell sweater dat momma found for me at Petsmart.  It were on sale since it are March, but it were good to have today.

I also gots a Minnie Mouse one and a Grumpy one.  Momma said da Grumpy one were perfect since I are always barkin at everythin and being a grump.  Guess I are lucky dey did not make Dopey, den guess what I'd have to hear from her.  She thinks she are so funny, she are not.

Maurice's Birthday

Hey everypup (and kitty) - it are Maurice's fourth birfday today.  Maurice are my momma's sister's cat and he are my original kitty boyfriend.  We lived together when I lived in Austin and we's livin together again.  I loves dat guy - he are such a sweet and pawsome lil kitty dude.  Or a big kitty dude actuallys I guess.  Happy birfday Maurice!  Have fun with your catnip toys and tuna fishes and stuffs.

Anyways, it are also Texas Independence Day here, which are da day dat Texas declared da independence from Mexico.  My momma, her are a seventh generation Texan and some of her ancestors were here in Texas when dat happened.  I's born in Oklahoma, but I tries to be a honorary Texan, and besides, any reason are a good reason for a pawty!

I were all happy becuz of da spring weathers we's been gavin, it were 82 yesterday and sunny.  I were hopin it were gonna be pool ball season soon.  But today it are sleetin, which means dis nasty ice rain junk dat are no fun and means no walk and no pool ball any times in da fourseeables future.  Yuck!!  It are sposed to get down to 12 tonight, which means all da pretty daffydills are gonna be goned.  It stinks.

So hopes ya have a happy Black and White Sunday, a happy Texas Independence Day, a happy birthday if you're Maurice, a happy Oscar day, or just a warmer Sunday den I are havin.

I love da summer best - dat are pool ball season!

Playin pool ball and barkin nonstop.

My favoritest food are whatever da peoples are eatin, BOL!  And I usually get some wif lots and lotsa barkin.

I guess it are my walkin.  My funny skip I do on counts of my luxatating patellas and da way I prance when I has on a dress and pouts when da peoples do not appreciate da cuteness dat are me.  Oh, and watching Oklahoma.

5.  Duz you believe in da Easter Bunny?

Of courses!  I sees da Easter bunny all da time in da front yard - I always askin him for treats by barkin, but he still only delivers once a year.

Da same as yours BFF, dat sassy skwerril in da park who will only go up da tree just far enuf to get out of snappin range den taunt us.  I hate dat dude.  Let's get him tomorrow.
