Sunday Selfie

Hey y'all.  It were an eggciting Sunday round here, but not all of it wuz da good sccrambly eggy weggy varitee.  Me and Finn went on a Death March Zombie Patrol™dis morning.  And we wuz almost home - and eggcited bout it too, since we wanted our breakfast (and I wanted to stop walkin).  But den dese two crazed zombie dogs came runnin at us - one of em wuz a giant Doberman and da other wuz a big dog too.  Both me and Finn has been attacked by big off-leash dogs before.  And dese pupses wuz not friendly, trust me, my peeps know da difference.  Dey ran right cross da street at us - luckily Finley's momma and a naybor who was out joggin yelled at em real loud and dey went back home.  But we had to walk even longer to get home cuz we wuzn't gonna go past dere house.

I was arooin and barkin like crazy - dat wuz not fun.

Luckily, my day improved when da peeps made scrambly eggy weggies for breakfast along wif bacon.  I got some bacon and got to lick two egg plates, so dat wuz good.

And in really good news, my hot spot are pretty much FINALLY gone.  We has been usin da PetNat UltraSalve on it lately, and it seems to be helpin.  My back are still lookin weird cuz of da super short hair and da wrinkles, but da hot spot are not oozin and really are barely there.  So dat are good news!

Ya knows what else are good??  Pie!  And dis are how my peeps celebrated Pie Day yesterday.

Yeah, dat are Key Lime Pie, and yeah, I gotta lick da plate and got some whipped cream.  And my momma are gonna have her second piece for dinner tonite - hopin for some more whipped cream!

    1. Da UltraSalve and Dermacton are good stuff - expensive, but a lot of my westie pals wif itchies have used it and recommended it. We got it for Finley - it helps her some, but she has da real extreme itchies, so dere are no real "cure" for dat. But it does help some. Dey make soap, a spray, and some udder stuffs too.

  19. That sounds like what happened to Miss Charlee a couple weeks ago. She was just minding her own business at the dog park, and this big huge doggie started attacking her for no reason!

Glad to hear that hot spot is getting better.

  22. That is one of Mom's big fears - dogs racing out and trying to attack - she knows she would jump in between us and be attacked herself before she let us get hurt.

  23. Oh that pie looks pawsome. Glad you are safe after that big dog episode. Hugs my friend.

  24. We avoid bug loose dogs like the plague! Fortunately, most of our neighbors keep their dogs contained. Pierre will trash talk with the biggest of dogs! *How much does Whitley weigh? I cannot get Pierre inside the recommended size of airplane carrier. Mainly because he goes all stiff-legged on me! BOL! It would make life so much easier if he could fly in the cabin! Thanks so much! ♥

    1. We both weigh around 17-18 pounds... although I wuz a bit chunkier at one time and got near 20. We always use da Sherpa original deluxe large carriers... we found dat Continental Airlines wuz da nicest when it came to takin' us in-cabin. You can pay fur yer pup in advance and check-in online and just get in line and go to yer seat, stow us under da seat in front of ya. We always tried to pick seats in da back so we could board earlier. (All of this was about 4 years ago-- don't know if the rules have changed.) Don't get us started on American Airlines-- they gave Whitley and her momma fits a coupla of times... after takin' da extra money fur her furst, of course, and they makes ya check in at the counter (which takes longer and if ya gets a dog-hating ticket agent, watch out!). Haven't flown SW with a pup,
but some people have had good experiences with them once they started allowing pups in cabin.

    2. Whatefur ya do, don't try to fly American wif an in-cabin pet - we had some bad experiences. Dey'll take your money, den say you can't fly.
