Hi pals!
Happy Friday!
We has SO many pretty flowers to share wif ya dis week. Brinley and Finley's momma is such a good gardener! And my momma, uhhh, she takes pictures. 🤣
Aren't they pretty???
And now for da news (if ya is friends wif momma on da book of faces, ya probably already saw this, but we are telling our pals here too). Yesterday wuz a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for momma. Me and her wuz going on a bike ride when a loose aggressive dog started chasin us and growling at us. Momma ended up pedaling OFF da path, wiping out, and bleeding EVERYWHERE! I wuz buckled in my basket and completely fine, but momma wuz not. She had to have three stitches and a tetanus shot.
She are bruised, scraped, and very hurty.
And very unhappy about being "permanently disfigured."
Us pups still think she's pretty! Even if she won't let us lick her face right now.
Oh Kinley, those flowers are so beautiful. As is your Momma (so please tell her). Gail has of course fallen off her bike more than once (e.g. see https://bouncingbertie.blogspot.com/2017/06/it-serves-her-right.html).Before my time she once landed up in hospital in Italy after a dog ran out from behind a high wall, became entangled under the chainwheel of the bicycle just in front of her who came to an abrupt halt and so Gail crashed into him and then the wall. Oh yes, and apparently there was the time in Oklahoma when a junk yard dog took out a chunk of her calf as she was riding to work.
ReplyDeleteOh, did no-one tell you it's a dangerous thing to mention a bicycle accident to another cyclist as all they'll do is give you a long list of their own crashes...?
We send hugs to your momma and hope she is healing fine.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
That is awful about the damage this loose dog did to your momma! Scars fade with time. She is not damaged forever. Thank dog that you're okay, Kinley!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are always outstanding!
First your flowers are beautiful and the colours are much nicer than the white that is all we still see. Secondly, your poor mom. We are sorry she was hurt and glad it was not more serious. She will have not a scar but a life mark to remind her she lived.
ReplyDeleteWere you hurt also?
ReplyDeleteYou have so many beautiful flowers to show us. We're sorry to hear about you and your momma's accident and hope she heals up real fast. Thankfully you were okay too.
ReplyDeleteWow! What beautiful flowers you have! It's going to be at least another 2 months before we see any irises and lilies in our yard.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Momma's accident. We hope that cut heals real fast.
Poor Momma. We think she'll heal nicely. And what a gorgeous array of flowers. Our momma can only take photos, too.
ReplyDeleteOMG we are so sorry this horrible thing happened to your Mama. That's absolutely AWFUL. Sending get well wishes and lots of love!!! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Bouncing Bertie - BOL, everyone has war stories.
ReplyDelete@Molly the AireGirl - Fank you!
@Hailey and Zaphod and their Lady - Aww, fanks.
@Kismet - Nope, not at all. Momma bled on me some, but dat wuz all.
@Millie and Walter - Fanks!
@C.L.W.STEP - Me too since I can't lick her face and I want to SOOO bad!
@Bella Roxy & Macdui - Luckily Brinley and Finley's momma is great at growing em.
@Cat Chat With Caren and Cody (Caren Gittleman) - Fank you.
Our little snow drops, crocuses and bluebells look paltry compared to your gorgeous blooms! Wow! But at least we have *some* signs of impending springtime and nice warm weather...perfect for Benji and his own brad of digging. Hey, maybe we can send him to your place so he can dig the holes for new bulbs and tubers...and then skedaddle him out of there before he digs those all up again, BOL, BOL!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your Momma had that nasty spill on account of an unruly and nasty loose dog. Sheesh, I hope the owner gets a big ticket if he/she can be found.
(Makes petcretary feel silly that she got a bruise from tripping over the dog gate/barricade...)
@Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs - We have those barricades (still). Da grandpa hates em, but he also duzn't like Brinley running into his bedroom and barking at nite (he goes to bed pretty early) so they are needed.
