Hi pals! Well, I has been doing pretty good - I got to go walking on the nature trail nearby TWO days in a row. And we saw lotsa deer and even a flock of turkeys!!

Da turkeys wuz a lil harder to get a good picture of, but momma finally got one centered. Da only other time she's seen a wild turkey (other than at da likker store, BOL) wuz when she lived in Cambridge wif Whitley and one wuz just walkin down Mass Ave. I asked momma if maybe we could do Thanksgiving early like our Canadian pals, but since we are turkey-less, I are guessing dat are a no.

Oh well, ya can't get everything ya want I guess. Anyways - yesterday's walk wuz 2 hours! I like momma's idea of "work from home" BOL.

Today I hung out wif momma while she watched football. She also worked on a new Howloween dress for me. And speaking of Howloween . . .

Turkey Day!

 

Time for turkey and taters and gravy and PIE!!!

We had our turkey dresses on.

OMD, BURD! I wuz snoopervising da cooking - I know momma and grandma luved having me underfoot all day!

Don't worry, I'll protect da turkey from da coyotes grandma and Brinley saw outside (dey really did see two coyotes in da middle of da day!)

Silly Travis thought he wuz da only one who should get giblets.

Brinley watched da Nashinul Dog Show after da Macy's Parade.

Da terrier group got da short shrift and she wuz not happy. She let EVERYONE in da house know by barking for like a million hours.

Finally da burd wuz done! And da best part - we all got some turkey!!!

Brinley and I got to lick da platter together, yum yum!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm fankful for my BFF Brinley, my big sister Finley, my kitteh siblings, and all my peeps - my momma, my Aunt Ally, and my grandma and grandpa.  And my stuffies, my tennis balls, my dresses, and my tasty noms.  And I are fankful for my pals in Blogville, y'all are da bestest - y'all welcomed me and Brinley to Blogville right away and we has had so much fun here gettin to know puppies, kittehs, birdies, bunnehs, and peeps all round da world.  We luvs ya so much!

Brinley had some strong opinions bout da Nashinul Dog Show today. She has lotsa opinions bout TV, speshully medical commershuls, horses, dogs, da Prez, well, a LOT of things.

While she wuz barkin da TV, I wuz hangin in da kitchen.  I mean, who cares about TV when ya can smell DIS???

P.S. Yup, we did get some turkey. And a lil gravy and smashed taters.  YUM YUM YUM.

Finally Turkey Day!

Well, our it wuz finally Turkey Day here.  I helped snoopervise da mommas cookin all morning.  And I wore my Turkey Dress to celebrates!

I wuz beggin da whole time, and I got some turkey and some smashed taters!  Yummmm!!!

And I got to lick da pie plate - dere wuzn't really nuffin on it though, not once my peeps got done!

I tried to tell momma I'd just take dat plate, but yeah, it didn't happen.  :(  At least I got some turkey and I's sposed to get some more tonite.  Hope y'all had a pawsome Fanksgivin!  I'm fankful for all of my pals in Blogville!  And turkey of course.  :)

Burd is Da Wurd

Another week, another new dress.  Dis one are curt-o-see of Finley's momma, AKA my grandma, AKA my favoritist peep at dis moment.  Now dis dress has been a bit of a work in progress since bout November, which explains da turkeys.  But I are ok wif turkeys year round - do ya hear dat momma? Ya can cook up a turkey for me anytime ya wants to!

I don't care if da calendar says March, I are good wif turkeys year-round.  But da burd theme don't stop there - da other side has my favorite, chikkens.  Yummmmm.  I just luvs me some chikken.  Sorry Kismet, but your birdie cuzzins sure are tasty.  I wouldn't eat you though, a mouth full of blue feathers doesn't sound real great to me.  Not promisin anything bout what my kitties would or wouldn't do though.

All dis chikken talk are makin me hungry.  Actually, I got some chikken dis morning, and it sure wuz tasty.  And da peeps even ate it last night.

We's still waitin for da rain to stop so we can do BBQ chikken - I bet Finley are gonna have some ready for our Girls Night Out BBQ on da 24th.  Ok, I just heard momma talkin bout chikken wings for tonite - since I are wearin da chikken dress, dat means I get some, right??

Happy Fanksgivin y'all!  I's been practicin barkin all day.  Fanksgivin are always kinda a barkapalooza for me, ya gots to bark a lot to get some of dat delishus burd.

I are all dressed up in my Texas Longhorns shirt today since dey are gonna be playin foozball tonight.  Da peeps are watchin da Cowboys, and so far dey is not impressin.  And tomorrow, momma's team, UCLA, takes on da dancin trees of Leland Stanfurd Junior University, so I are gonna be all dressed up for dat too.

But Fanksgivin weekend are bout more da foodz and football.  It are bout shoppin for cute LWDs too.  Wait, whut momma?  Dat are not what it are bout??  Oh yeah, it are also bout bein fankful and dat are why I are joinin in da Thanks Blogville! bloghop.

I's so fankful for all my pals in Blogville.  Some of y'all I has known for years, since over on dat Dogster place.  And we's all grown up (and some of us has grown old) together.  And some of y'all are newer pals who welcomed me when I started up bloggin again.  I are so fankful for all of y'all.  I got pals all over dis country, and I even got pals in places I are never gonna get to go sniff, like da land Down Under, Canookistan, my ancestral home Scotland, France, South Africa, well, really, all over da place!  And I are so fankful for all of y'all - I luvs readin bout your lives and feel so lucky to have so many pawsome, nice (and CUTE!) pals.  Luv y'all - hope ya get some turkey (or other treat if you's not in America) today.
