Music Monday

Hey pals! It's been a couple weeks since I've gotten to do a Music Monday since we's been havin kitty health emergencies. Luckily, they're better (or on their way to getting better) now, so we can share some songs wif ya.

Da theme dis month are musicians born in November. Which our mommas say are da bestest month for birthdays. Hmm, Finley says it has somefin to do wif dis Friday and Thanksgiving.

We're starting off wif a classic for ya - Jimi Hendrix!

And now we're gonna switch things up wif a country song from Mindy McCready. And yeah, since it's my momma it's got a feminist bent to it, BOL.

Travis Barker, Blink-182's drummer, also has a November birthday!

This Nelly song wuz super popular when my momma wuz in 9th grade and her sister and her still sing it to each other when the room gets hot. BOL BOL.

And we've got one more November birthday - Miley!

Happy birthday November peeps and pups (and kitties too!)

Sunday Selfies

Hi pals! We had a pretty fun weekend here.

We had great weather dis weekend! It wuz nice and warm. And we even had a sunny day yesterday.

That made our walk extra fun!

Oh yeah, and there lotsa stuff on da TV about da eleckshun. Who woulda thought that 2 70-something year old men could maintain an eleckshun for days?? I think you're supposed to see a doctor if dat happens. BOL BOL!

Anyways, whether you're happy bout da eleckshun or not, remember to give your dog extra snacks for being your emoshinul support during this trying time.

Or feel free to send da snacks to us if ya wants . . .

Westie Patrol

Hey pals!

Well, we've been doing ok for the past couple days.

Bowie cat seems to be getting better and we've been takin good care of him. And Travis cat are doing ok too, even if he are not too fond of being stuck in his kitty condo.

And since things have finally calmed down wif da kitties, I got to go on a couple of bike rides. I saw a coyote on one today, but luckily da coyote wuz way down in a ditch and stayed away from us.

We also went on our nayborhood patrol and barked da naybors.

Dey deserved it.

Good News!

So I've got some good news for ya - my kitty pal Bowie seems to be getting better. His eyesight is back, but now he's got da sneezies. Da mommas think him and Travis both picked up a kitty cold at da emergency vet. But still, it are overall good news, since Bowie are WAY better than he wuz on Sunday or Monday.

Me and Brinley have been protecting him and giving him westie kisses to make him feel better.

We've been gettin our daily walks and telling da whole nayborhood what are what.

It's a tuff job, but some pups has got to do it.

Another Bowie Update

Well, as you can tell by his picture today, Bowie is doing better. He's still obviously not one hundred purrcent, but he is much more steady on his feet. And his eyesight is returning - we can tell there is some sight in each eye (his pupils contract when you shine a light in them and he follows things with his eyes), but it is also not one hundred purrcent. There seems to be some uneven dilation of his eyes. He has been been drinking water, but still duzn't wanna eat, so his momma has been spoonfeeding him.

I got to hang out wif him a lot today, he spent most of the day sleeping on my bed wif me and Brinley.

We luv our kitty brofur so much and are glad he are getting better. We're all taking care of him and guarding him now.

And remember to tell your humans to go VOTE if they haven't yet. Otherwise, Finley might give ya a butt bite.

Bowie Update

So maybe y'all are tired of reading about sick kitties. I are tired of writing bout em. I just want my kitty pals to be healthy, but we is havin terrible luck lately. Today wuz a tuff day for Bowie. Last nite we thought he wuz doing good, the vet we had talked to seemed optimistic and said he'd be good to go tomorrow. But this morning wuz a different story. His blood pressure had skyrocketed overnight and he wuz blind (again). The vet said he wuz in severe distress and that we needed to consider putting him down. When da mommas (all 3 of them) got there, they visited wif Bowie. He wuz blind, but he wuz calm wif them and not in distress. They talked about taking him to a neurologist but given what the emergency vets had done, nobody seemed to think a neurologist wuz a good opshun - if he has a brain tumor or something, there is not much that can be done. And putting him through a battery of tests (MRIs and CT scans) would just stress him out. They ran tests on his blood and urine - all normal. He got some activated charcoal just in case he wuz poisoned - but we have no clue how since we've checked everything. The mommas just decided to take him home and see how he does. He has spent most of the day resting. His momma spoon-fed him a whole can of food (not all at once, MOL) and he's used the kitty box. He's still blind, but he is hearing and aware and responsive. Tonite, he seemed a lil better since he wuz walking steady and wanted to visit Travis.

We're all worried, we just want our kitties to be better.

We know some pups don't like kitties, but we do. They're our pals.

Da mommas are giving Bowie a fighting chance. He's still on his blood pressure meds and we're making shure he gets food and liquid. And of course, lotsa luv. The vets are all stumped as to what happened - if it wuz a head trauma from a fall (Bowie does like to climb), something toxic, a clot, a stroke, a brain bleed - no one seems to have any ideas. We have another idea - if you remember, back in early April, da kitties were all sick. Bowie wuz very sick. The mommas thought it could be da COVID since it seemed like some people in this house had it right before. And we're wondering if this could be one of those "long-haul" COVID symptoms - there's no way to know of course, but we know some people with COVID throw clots. But for right now, Bowie is just enjoying a lot of love.

Kitty Problems

So our family's bad string of luck wif kitties continues. Today it wuz my lil partner in crime, Bowie. When da mommas woke up, he wuz weak and wobbly - acting kinda like he had had a stroke or something. So they rushed him off to the e-vet.

We still don't know what wuz wrong wif him - did he fall, eat something bad, have his electrolytes outta whack, just have a mystery episode? But they GOOD news he are getting better and is sposed to get to come home tomorrow.  Good, cuz I missed having him home since me and him play all da time.

These kitties all need to get better! We don't like em being so sick.

Maybe it are Mercury retrograde. Maybe it wuz da full moon. We don't know, but we is tired of it all and da mommas are exhausted. At least we got our walk today.
