Happy Mardi Gras! Laissez les bark temps rouler! Or somefin like dat.

Well, there's still lotsa snow and it are still frigid. Brinley are over it.

 Finley are managing ok. Luckily we haven't lost power, so we are all staying warm here. 

And there's gonna be King Cake tonite! Do polar bears eat king cake? I vote YES!

I'm a Polar Bear!

Well, we is in a Code Red emergency here. At least dat are what da city are saying. They called saying that people could be without power for days since multiple power plants are out. They are also doing rolling blackouts, but they are not always rolling the power back on. Luckily, we haven't lost power - grandma thinks it might be becuz we is very close to a fire station and they won't cut power to a fire station on purpose. 

 

It's sposed to be like 0 or 1 tonite wif windchills of below -15. 

The snow and ice are NOT being nice to Finley. She ackshually kinda likes it which surprised da mommas since she is so thin and arthritic and so naked from her allergies. But she is almost 15 and has very thin skin and the snow/ice is literally cutting her skin and making her bleed when she goes out. If she would use pee pads, we would be doing that, but she won't. So da mommas just try to get her to go quick and then get her cleaned up and warm when she comes back in.

    

Brinley are not a big fan of da snow either. I think she's seen enuf and she seems to prefer a warm spot by da fire.

Me? I'm a polar bear! I just want to sit in da snow and run in da snow and play in da snow. Momma says I are nuts. If it wuz like 25 or somefin, she says I might get to play in it more, but it are dangerously cold, so I hafta come in.  

It's so cold that there wuz ice on the pool (even though it wuz running) this morning. Grandma had to break it up this morning and da mommas is gonna hafta sleep in shifts tonite becuz if we lose power, they gotta go out and immediately drain da pool equipment becuz otherwise it will ice and pipes will break. 

I think da humans have had it wif da cold, but I wish I could get some more play time.

It are COLD out there! 

Finley are luvin it. She is bouncin around like a puppy out there, but she can't stay out too long since it are very cold and she is old and doesn't have the furs to keep her warm that me and Brinley do.

We wuz so excited to see our first real snow!

Momma even made a movie!

It wuz so much fun to play in! I think I liked it a lil more than Brinley though - she wuz happy to get back inside by the fire in her TV chair, BOL.

But she had fun out there too.

I just wanted to sit in the snow. Momma says she has never seen anything like it. 

I guess I are just a snow girl.

It wuz so much fun to run around in!

Ok, I also let momma get a Valentine's selfie wif me since me and Travis are her Valentines. 

Now let's go play out in da snow again!

Blizzard Watch

 

Usually when we say dere is a blizzard watch in Texas, it means somebody are stopping at DQ. But dis are da real snow kind! 

We don't have any yet, but da latest predictions are 4-8 inches of da white stuff and wind chills of 15 below zero! Our walk today wuz chilly, but nuffin like dat. Momma says it might be da last walk for a couple of days. But if it duz snow, we is gonna get to go play in it. 

We're staying snuggly warm inside for now.

Da mommas are cookin up some Chinese tangerine beef to celebrate da Year of da Ox and it smells delishus!

In udder news, it looks like me and Brinley might finally get to see some real snow.

A blizzard and historical cold temperatures are predicted. Right now da low on Monday are sposed to be -2 which momma says are as cold as it got when she and Angel Whitley lived in Boston.

I'm thinking our walks are probably gonna be cancelled for a few days.

Guess I'll just hafta look cute for all my pals on da internets.

We all seem a lil extra energized by da cold, even Finley. But she is definitely happy when she comes back inside!  

In udder news, today I got my firstest ever dental cleaning. It wuz all rooteen and I wuz back to being my crazypants self right when I got home. Only now I has a sparkling white smile! But I did like that early dinner last night, too bad that can't be a regular thing . . .
