Sepia Saturday

Momma actually did it.  She finished my January dress in da month of January.  I are surprised.  She didn't finish it early enuf for me to model it for y'all, cuz it wuz all dark and da pics wouldn't have been very good.  So I'll be showin it off tomorrow.  Unfortunately, my hot spot are not doin too good, so I won't be able to wear it all day, on counts of scratchin.  Dat thing are just impossible, momma are doin everythin she can, but it is still oozin.  Last night after me and Finley got into a bit of Bitey Face, it wuz bleedin.  But not from Finley bitin it or nuffin, just from me movin round so much.

But I can wears da dress for pictures tomorrow, and I wills.  Until den, dis are a lil preview and proof dat my momma did actually finish it today.

She woulda finished it earlier, cept she went shoppin wif Finley's momma, who bought a real fancy sewin machine.  She better put it to work makin lotsa dresses and jackets for me and Finley.

Hey momma, ya is awares dat February do not have 31 days to make a dress??  It are only 28, you're gonna have to get to work quicker.

  1. Don't put pressure on her. Humans do poorly under pressure. You might get a dress with eight arm holes (like you're a spider) or something dumb like that. Aim for quality instead of quality. You might get a dress a month but it wouldn't last five minutes. In that case we could call it a "stuffie dress". Go for the quality.

    1. It's real good stuff Whitley. Mum used to use it on our Lucy. She had terrible skin troubles and it was the only thing that kept her sane. OMD!! she was a WFT. They're NEVER sane. Adorable though!!

  3. Yup, that coconut oil is pawsome fur lots of things. Pretty yummy too, I get it in my noms, it heals scars, and growlmy read you can even use it to clean your teeth...that is called 'oil pulling'...but it seeming has soothing and antibacterial properties in its raw, virgin, and unrefined state.

Hope your dress wardrobe will grow, as the hot spot will shrink...um, sheesh, growlmy said that silly line, not me, BOL!
That looks to be a purrty dress! I just know that there can/will be more!

  5. Oh Whitley, we are sorry to hear that your hot spot it still so itchy. You must try really hard to stop scratching so you can wear your lovely new dress for as long as you like and not just for photos.
Smart move, reminding your mom about the shortness of the month. Perhaps better remind her again in a couple of weeks time if there is now sign of dressmaking action?
