Vet Visit

Well today me and Brinley had an advenshure. We had to go to da vet for our annual checkup and rabies shots. And it wuz super weird - dey made da mommas stay out in da car. I did not like dat. In fact, I made myself flat to the ground (momma says I pancaked) and tried to refuse to go in. It wuzn't cuz I wuz scared of nuffin. It wuz cuz I wuz concerned for da mommas - being left out in da car by demselves wifout their loyal westies. I mean, someone might abduct em!! Don't believe any Fake News about me being scared to go anywhere wifout momma, it are one hundred and ten percents not true.

Don't be lookin at me all skeptical like Brinley. Just cuz you wuz prancing like you wuz Best In Show wif your tail head high. Whatefurs. Anyways, we both checked out good. I weigh a lil less than a pound more than Brinley (18 to 17.2). We got our shots and we is good to go. But on da way home, it started to drizzle and Brinley's momma had to start using windshield wipers. Brinley completely nutted out - she HATES windshield wipers on TV and she really hates em in person.

Finley got outta having to go (this time) and got to stay home and nap and eat cookies. LUCKY!

This week for our Music Monday theme, we are going to be sharing some of our Aunt Ally's favorite songs since it are her birthday later this week. I like this one - I are a fighter too. All terrierists are.

There's a lotta basketcases around here.

Da family had a basset hound named Delilah years ago - wonder if that's why this one are a favorite.

I like applause too. And being told I are a "good girl."

Hmm, "look what you made me do" are what I say when da momma forgets to take me out (it's rare, but it has happened before).

And we had to share this one today!

  1. Kinley, we are pleased to hear that the vet found all well with you and Brinley. I tried that pancake thing when I was required to leave Gail in the car park last time I visited the vet, but Gail says that WFTs don't have the same skills as Westies in this area...
    Toodle pip!

  2. we are glad you got good news... and we know you are super brave terriers... we hate that new procedere.. but fortunately our vet is not brave enough to handle two weimaraners without the staff, he came to the car and gave us the shot through da window...

  3. Glad that is all over for this year! Hope you won't need to go again until things are 'normal' whatever that might be...BOL!

At least pour vet lets us in there...though only one peep with the pet and only one peep in the lobby/waiting room.

    1. Yeah, we're trying to delay Finley going since she'd really be better wif someone going in wif her. She's not due for anything yet and is doing ok, so hopefully we can wait a while.

  5. No one likes doctor appointments. Wonderful mews y'all checked out okay for another year! I don't like driving or riding through the rain. It makes me really nervous because of the big truck mostly but the crazy nutburger drivers don't help much either. Whatever became of Christina Aguilera anyhow? I haven't heard anything new by her in forever it seems. I remember when she first started her career and was blown away by her big voice. I loved that you closed your set with "September" by old school artists Earth, Wind, & Fire. Have a boogietastic week and thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, furriends!

  6. Sorry to hear you had to go to the vet but it's good to hear you are both well. That was a great selection of music to entertain us too.

  8. Glad you both got a good check-up at the vet. The last time I went to my vet, it was weird like that too.

  10. Yes, Kali and I have to go for checkups and rabies. Also a new Heartworm shot that lasts for a year. We can't go into office either, so one at a time as we can't seat in 100 degree car waiting for shots and exam, This Covid is effecting even us.....

  11. Oh, the dreaded 'leaving the peeps in the car' bit! I don't mind at all! BOL!!! Ma just says it removes her from being embarrassed abouts my hyper-arse behaviors! whatevers.
Anyhu, glads you gurls are tops, and sorry abouts the wipers....
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  12. We have all had to do that a couple times now and we do not like it. The humans need to put the world back in order because this is not right.

  13. Of course you don't like the vet, but I'm glad your checkup revealed no problems. Interesting mix of songs, most of which I actually knew (proud of myself, can you tell?) My favorite was the last - the classic "September" but Green Day's song rocked, too.
