Sunday Selfies

Well pals, dere are good news and bad news today.

And even though Finley thinks da bad news are dat she wuz threatened wif a baff, dat are not it.

We'll start wif da good news.  Brinley is healing perfectly - her wound looks great.  All nice and flat.  She should be returnin to active duty soon.

Ok, I bet ya can figger out da bad news from what I said.  Momma thought da area around my wound looked slightly puffy on Thursday afternoon.  But just slightly puffy.  Yesterday, I puffed up BIG time.  Momma thinks I has a "seroma." I are not shure what dat are.  Momma says it are like a water balloon has been inserted in my tummy and I are gonna hafta go to da vet tomorrow.  YIKES!  Dere's a pic of it - it are kinda nasty lookin, so dere are your warning . . .

It feels like it are filled wif liquid and duzn't seem to be hurtin me at all.  If it wuz, we'd be at da emergency vet.  Looks like my return to Active Duty might be delayed.  I guess dat means more snuggles, but I'd luv to run and play again . . .

  5. Our mom says one of our angel sisters had that happen when she was spayed. If she remembers correctly the vet said to put warm compresses on it. It is just a little swelling at the incision. Angel Steffi was very active and difficult to keep quiet during the time needed to heal her incision. We will keep our paws crossed that you feel better soon.

  17. I sure am glad to see all your smiling faces, but that threat of a bath would have me worried, for sure. As to that lumpy bumpy thing, I hopes it goes away on its own rather than needing trip to your consultants. No chance it’s a stray mouse is there?

    1. It's not recommended - it can just lead to it refilling with fluid and increase infeckshun risks.
