So we is still in a deep freeze. It are not really scary cold anymore though, so it are more fun to run around and play in.
We luckily still have power and water, but our city has warned everyone dat water supplies are very low and to only use water for handwashing, drinking, and da toilet.
Which means we got to skip our weekly bath! Hey, I kinda think we should keep this up!!
We are sorry for your suffering. How does the government let this happen in America today?
ReplyDeleteWell, when they care more about making their rich donors happy than helping people . . .
DeleteDitto Pocket's comment, and I am super duper happy that you guys gots power and waters! I'll keep my paws crossed that all of you in Texas gets warmer so all your utilities can be restored!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Fanks. At least everyone has power now.
DeleteThis is so terrible. Someone or some group forgot to prepare for what could happen if...such and such...well, now they know. Michigan wants to be independent of fossil fuels, and work with wind power, etc...but we hope they take this as an example...we get tons of ice and snow here...that could easily shut things down..and cold lasts much longer here than in Texas.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your water doesn't dry up. That would be awful and scary, too.
Stay warm and safe! We are pawyering for all of Texas and the other states with weather issues.
Well, Michigan would probably make sure their windmills were winterized. They have wind turbines in Sweden and Norway that don't freeze, but in Texas we didn't require winterization, so that's why we had problems.
DeleteThe biggest problems were actually wif natural gas though (no winterization there either). The windmills produced better than they thought they would.
oh we guessed it... no baths yay! but we hope the power and the water will be always there and we hope that icy siberian weather disappears...
ReplyDeleteSeems like it are in da rearview mirror now.
DeleteEvery cloud has a silver lining.
ReplyDeleteOr a grayish brown one. BOL.
DeleteSounds like a really good deal at your house, you have power, snow to play in, and no bath. Enjoy all that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I did NOT see da problem.
DeleteYou are lucky to have your power and we have our paws crossed that everything returns to normal soon. At least you have that huge pool that you can use for a water source if needed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we could use it for flushing, etc. if we had too.
DeleteGlad you ladies are doing OK.
ReplyDeleteFanks.
DeleteWe didn't lose power or water either, but Momma's still being careful on conserving. We had a whole bunch of houseguests too, because they lost power for days!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we were trying to be responsible and conserve. Glad that are over!
DeleteSkipping the bath is great, just don't roll in anything dead.
ReplyDeleteHard to find anything dead when it wuz all under snow.
